Nobilis Rum W.I.R.D 1986-2021 (54.7%)
What a great start we’ve seen for the new Danish independent bottler Nobilis Rum. A great Enmore and a stunner from the Hampden distillery, they’ve set the bar high. It’s time to discover their third rum coming from the West Indies Rum Distillery.

The Whisky Jury Long Pond 2005-2021 (62.1%)
The Whisky Jury Monymusk 1995-2021 (61.3%)
That’s the second wave of rum from the Belgian bottler The Whisky Jury, another time under the Jamaican flag.

Old Brothers Hampden 2001-2021 (61.6%)
The oldest tropical aged Hampden released yet with 18 years in Jamaica, sounds crazy right? I love those white bottles!

Velier Japoniani Nine Leaves 2016-2020 (66.6%)
Velier Japoniani Savana HERR 2006-2020 (63.2%)
Velier released a quite surprising trio last year. I have to confess that they marked me especially by those crazy labels.

The Whisky Agency Long Pond 2000-2016 (49.3%)
Duncan Taylor Long Pond 2000-2017 (54.1%)
Silver Seal Long Pond 2000-2018 (50%)
I write a lot about Hampden’s but what about Long Pond? There are way less Long Pond bottlings comparatively and honestly I never get blown by them except some like this Cadenhead’s.

Samaroli Barbados 1986-2006 (45%)
Barbados, 1986, hmmm, what are you thinking about? We can read West Indies Rum Refinery on that colourful label and that’s the reason why I picked that sample today! I’ll review some W.I.R.D in the next weeks and I consider this one as a warm-up.

Velier Diamond & Versailles 1996-2014 (57.9%)
Velier Enmore & Port Mourant 1998-2014 (62.2%)
Velier Diamond SVW 1999-2014 (64.7%)
Velier Port Mourant 1993-2006 (65%)
Four tropical aged rums from Demerara, bottled by Velier… If you already tried some from that specific category you probably have good memories about it, right?

Rum Artesanal Fiji 2001-2021 (62.8%)
Rum Artesanal Uitvlugt PM 1989-2021 (50.1%)
Rum Artesanal Hampden 1989-2021 (67.6%)
Two months ago I discovered and enjoyed the new Rum Artesanal bottlings including this very nice W.I.R.D from 1986. The least we can say is that they’re not sleeping!
