The last Longrow I tasted was very good so I looked after another one on my stashes and here is what I found.

A speyside distillery 18yo 2001-2020 (52.3%)
Hazelburn 18yo 2001-2020 (47.4%, OB)
Longrow 10yo 2020 (53.7%, OB)


Let’s try some bottlings released for the Virtual Open day of the Campbeltown festival 2020!

Aberlour 18yo 2002-2020 (62.6%, OB for LMDW)

Today I am trying an Aberlour and to be honest I didn’t tasted a lot of those in the past! The last one was an Abunad’h and it was decent, so today I hope that I will taste a great one!

Caol ila 8yo 2011-2019 (59.4%, Asta Morris)
Caol ila 7yo 2012-2020 (55.9%, Asta Morris)

I already found some pearl among those frogs in the past so let’s try some young Caol Ila from the Belgian bottler Asta Morris and see what’s going to happen!

Glen Elgin 31yo 2004-2015 (47.2%, Signatory Vintage)

When I was looking at good price/quality ratio I though about this dram, it’s clearly not the same pricetag as the drams in the last article but I can tell you that it’s worth every euros you put in.

Let’s try some cheaper dram today so we can maybe find some great price/quality ratio!

I wanted to try some Daftmill for a long time now but it’s really hard to catch bottles or samples of those. So here I am with two interesting drams from this little distillery from the Lowlands!

Penderyn 12yo 2007-2019 (58.6%, OB)

Some friends told me about Penderyn, a Welsh distillery with some very nice bottlings. I tried to find some (not so easy to catch) samples, so let’s try those!

Chichibu « The Peated » 5yo 2013-2018 (55.5%, OB)
I have one last sample of Chichibu on my stash, let’s see if it’s better than the last two bottles reviewed!

Chichibu « On the way » 2019 (51.5%, OB)
Here are the first Japanese whiskies on the test bench! Let’s see is if the Chichibu bottlings are worth the hype!
