My first Paul John whisky

Paul John 7 yo 2011-2019 (56.3%, Cadenhead)
Well to be honest this is not really the first one. I tasted some of the official bottlings 2 years ago at the Toulouse whisky festival and I liked it, the only problem was the dilution. So as of now I’m pretty thrilled about trying a cask strength version of this Indian whisky!
Bellevue ’98 trio

Rum Artesanal Bellevue 1998-2017 (55.5%)
Kill Devil Bellevue 1998-2017 (59.7%)
Excellence Rhum Bellevue 1998-2018 (59.9%)
That’s the first review of some Bellevue rums but you’ll see more in the future of course.
Another crazy Tormore

Tormore 24 yo 1995-2019 (55.8%, Le Gus’t)
The first whisky review on this website was another Tormore 1995 from « Le Gus’t » and today I’ll try his brother, a sherried one!
Saint James Brut de fût Velier 2001

Saint James Brut de fût Velier Private casks 2001-2019 (50.3%)
One more ghost bottling, that’s how I call them. We literally get no informations about them, then you see few pictures on Facebook groups and can’t find where you can buy them and at which price. Luckily, a friend was as fast as Nicky Larson to get a bottle and sent me a sample of it.
You better take your medicine!

Lagavulin Lg7 « 2017 release » (56.8%, Elixir Distillers)
Those lovely bottles always makes me think about old medicine jars in pharmacies. During the Sunday live stream I even get the question « Is it medicine », well we will try this medicine for sure!
More ’97 Caronis

Valinch & Mallet Caroni 1997-2016 (51.8%)
Barmetro Caroni 1997-2017 (57%)
Thompson Bro’s Caroni 1997-2018 (61.9%)
I already wrote an article about four Caronis from the ’97 vintage with some nice bottlings and I really enjoyed it, so let’s continue the adventure today with three more references.
Cnoc cnoc. Who’s there?

An Cnoc 18yo « 2020 release » (46%, OB)
An Cnoc 39yo 1975-2014 (44.2%, OB)
Yeah I’m sorry for that tittle, let’s gain my forgiveness by reviewing those two An Cnoc bottlings, that 1975 one really puzzles me!
Enmore you said?

Samaroli Dark Demerara 1994-2006 (45%)
The Rum Cask Enmore 1988-2020 (47.9%)
WIld Parrot Enmore 1991-2019 (53.6%)
I place the Guyana rum mysteries somewhere between curiosity and irritation in my personal emotions, that’s the biggest gambling game isn’t it? But finally I must say I enjoy playing it.
Glendronach revival

Glendronach 15yo « Revival-2009 Edition » (46.0%, OB)
I really like to have a good & cheap sherry to drink as a daily dram and that’s why I bough this one. After some years in the bottle let’s see what’s inside!
