I really like to have a good & cheap sherry to drink as a daily dram and that’s why I bough this one. After some years in the bottle let’s see what’s inside!
Glendronach 15yo “Revival-2009 Edition” (46.0%, OB,
Oloroso Sherry Casks)
Colour: Dark copper with mahogany hues.
Nose: Blueberries, red berries, raisins, ripe plums, cinamon, leather, green wood. It’s quite round.
Mouth: The alcohol integration is not bad but it could have been better given the reduction. The texture is quite oily. A very nice sherry bomb! Raisins, bitter dark chocolate, caramel, blueberries, spices and gingerbread.
Finish: Medium. Dark chocolate, malt and candied orange peel wrapped in dark chocolate.
What a nice sherry bomb! It’s obviously not very complex and you have to like round sherry profile but this is pretty well done without being too round! Well the bottle is empty now, it’s time to find another one to replace it!
