Blended Scotch 38yo 1980 (44.9%, Thompson Bro.)
It’s winter and holiday time, so it’s time to find old blends to enjoy with friends and family and it seems that I found some pretty good ones!

Ledaig 9yo 2010 (53.2%, The Whisky Jury)
Bunnahabhain 7yo 2013 (53.2%, The Whisky Jury)
Today I’m gonna test two recent releases by the Belgian independent bottler « Whisky Jury ». They seem to have a very good reputation despite the fact that they are quite new on the bottling scene so let’s see by ourselves with those two you peaters!

Ben Nevis 22 yo 1996-2019 (55.3%, SMoS)
Ben Nevis 19 yo 1996-2015 (55.5%, Edition Spirit)
Ben Nevis 23 yo 1996-2019 (53.6%, SMoS)
Here we go, another batch of those Ben Nevis 1996! Most of the time those are very consistent, let’s see if it’s also the case for these three bottlings!

Aultmore 9 yo 2011-2020 « Parcel No.4 » (48%, SMoS)
Linkwood 10 yo 2009-2020 « Parcel No.4 » (48%, SMoS)
Speyside 10 yo 2010-2020 « Parcel No.4 » (48%, SMoS)
Clynelish 2010-2020 « French Connections » (55.3% SMoS)
Another part of the Elixir batch that I started last week, let’s see if something shines today!

An Orkney Distillery 18 yo 2000-2019 (57.1%, ElD)
Secret Orkney 18 yo 2000-2019 (53.1%, Le Gus’t)
Highland park is a distillery I really like but unfortunately most of the time the alcohol integration is lacking a bit in my opinion. Let’s see what’s up with those birds!

Orkney 10 yo 2009-2020 (48%, SMoS for LMDW)
Orkney 13 yo 2007-2020 « Parcel No.4 » (48%, SMoS)
Ledaig 14 yo 2005-2020 (57.1%, SMoS)
Bunnahabhain « Bn8 » 2020 (58.4%, Elements of Islay)
Today I’m tasting some very recent Elixir Distillers releases. Those are mostly young whiskies with some honest price tag so let’s see if it’s good!

Secret Highland 19 yo 2000 (52.4%, Whisky-Doris)
This little secret highland has been listed on Whisky-Doris website as a Clynelish, so I think that we now know what kind of secret highland whisky is in the bottle!

Dornoch 3 yo 2017-2020 (59.4%, OB)
Dornoch 2 yo 2018-2020 (59.5%, OB)
Dornoch 1 yo 2019-2020 (65.45%, OB)
Bimber 3 yo 2017-2020 (57.9%, Thompson Brothers)
Bimber 3 yo 2017-2020 (57.9%, Thompson Brothers)
Bimber 2020 (57.9%, OB, cask #144)
Auchroisk 31 yo 1989 (44.6%, Thompson Brothers)
The Thompson brothers released a pack of samples which sold very quickly with some of their last bottlings. I managed to get my hands on a half of a set and I’m happy to taste this first Dornoch release : cask #001. There are also other younger Dornoch casks, the last Bimber’s and Auchroisk from Thompson’s Brothers. Let’s try those!

Craigellachie 6 yo 2013-2020 (65.3%, Asta Morris)
I always liked what Asta Moris releases, most of the time it’s great quality and low price tag. Let’s try this little frog, I have litterally no idea about what this Craigellachie will be!

Glenmorangie « A Tale of Cake » (46%, OB, 2020)
Ardbeg 5 yo « Wee Beastie » (47.4%, OB, 2020)
Those are 2 recent releases. I really wanted to try it as most of the time I’m not a big fan of NAS or really young whisky so let’s give those a try!
