An original Clynelish

This little secret highland has been listed on Whisky-Doris website as a Clynelish, so I think that we now know what kind of secret highland whisky is in the bottle!

Secret Highland 19 yo 2000-2020 (52.4%, Whisky-Doris, SBourbon Hogshead, cask #1417, 327 bottles)

Colour: Straw.
Nose: Honey, yellow fruits, plums, wax, cookie dough, brine and salt
Mouth: The alcohol integration is very good and the texture is very creamy, thick. White pepper, vanilla, yellow fruits, salt, hazelnut and waxy notes.
Finish: Long. Plums, peach, brine, licorice and some waxy notes.

An unusual Clynelish but I have to admit that I really liked it. The profile is a bit original but everything is well done and highly enjoyable. Nice one Whisky-Doris!

Score: 89
