Colour: Dark copper.
Nose: The alcohol and the wood are too present and overwhelms the other flavours. Caramel, brown sugar, exotic fruits, grapefruits, leather and dark chocolate. With more time vanilla notes take place.
Mouth: The alcohol is burning. Tannins, wood, ginger, fuel, yellow fruits, apples and caramel. It’s very spicy and slightly bitterish. Black grapes, leather, almonds and cherries. I’m not conviced yet.
Finish: Long and warm. Vanilla, cherry wood, brown sugar, quinces, figs and roasted notes.

A small disappointment with this one, I hope I’m going to enjoy more the next ones.

Colour: Dark copper.
Nose: It’s very different than the first one! At first nose I can smell some similarities with some Demerara’s. Bitter oranges, citrus jam, apples, wood, candied lemons, milk chocolate, nutmeg, petrol and mocha.
Mouth: The alcohol is well integrated. Leather, petrol, spices, lot of wood but not too much, dried fruits, mint and eucalyptus. It’s fruitier than the first one with oranges and grapefruits. I find out a well-balanced mouth, phew, I’m reassured.
Finish: Long and warm. Burnt wood, eucalyptus, vanilla, custard cream, raspberries, quinces and some floral notes.

Well balanced from the beginning to the end, good job!

Colour: Dark copper.
Nose: The alcohol is a bit too present but not burning like the ’99. Dirty profile with leather, wood, petrol, black grapes, blueberries and blackberries. Oranges, apples and bourbon.
Mouth: Leather, wood and petrol combo is still present. The mouth is quite similar to the nose with black fruits, blueberries and blackberries, oranges, almonds, tobacco and toasted bread. It’s not as well balanced as the ’95 but it remains decent.
Finish: Mid-long and slightly drying. Burnt wood, eucalyptus, menthol, rapsberries and violet flowers.

Very pleasant finish but I wasn’t charmed by the rest.
