As you may know the Massen 2020 festival still takes place but the usual tasting is of course cancelled. I managed to get my hands on some samples from different bottlings that should have been present at this event.

Let’s try some drams from the Belgian independent bottler « Daily Dram ». Those are in fact not chosen blindly since it reminds me of the Massen festival of 2019. The 2020 edition was cancelled for obvious reasons this year so let’s get those DD’s like back in the days, should we?

For their 15th anniversary, the Glengyle distillery realeased a bunch of 15yo Kilkerran bottlings. There are lot of cask type and every bottlings are country-specific. Let’s try most of them!

I’m not a fan of bourbons to be honest but the ones I tasted in the past were cheap and reduced. A really good friend told me this « Two World » small batch is worth a try, so I grabbed two samples of well known top-notch bourbons I had on the back of my shelves. Let’s try those now!

When the moment came to choose what to test today, I felt brave and decided to grab two samples I tried to hide for a long time. I’m really not a fan of wine cask maturation in most cases (to say the least!) but when I started in the whisky world I didn’t knew about it. So let’s be brave and try those!
